Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of QuickFFmpeg, available at quickffmpeg.io. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

Who operates this service

QuickFFmpeg is operated by Maximiliano Opitz Turra, a sole proprietor established in Chile. You can reach us at contact@quickffmpeg.io.

What the service does

QuickFFmpeg is an API and web application for processing audio and video files with FFmpeg. You submit files or URLs together with processing options, and we run the corresponding FFmpeg operation and return the output. Usage is metered in billed seconds of processing time, and each plan includes a monthly quota along with limits on the number and total size of inputs and outputs.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API token confidential, and for all activity carried out through them. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised. You must provide accurate registration information and be legally capable of entering into this agreement.

Plans, billing and payment

Paid plans are billed monthly or annually in advance. Our order process and all payments are handled by Paddle.com, which acts as the Merchant of Record for every order. Paddle handles the transaction, invoicing, and applicable sales tax or VAT. Your purchase is therefore also subject to Paddle's buyer terms and refund policy.

We never receive or store your card details. Prices are shown in US dollars and may be displayed inclusive or exclusive of tax depending on your location. See our Refund & Cancellation Policy for how cancellations and refunds work.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the service to:

• Process content you do not own or have the rights to process.
• Process material that is unlawful where you or we operate, including content that infringes copyright.
• Attempt to access other users' data, or to disrupt, overload, or reverse engineer the service.
• Circumvent plan quotas, rate limits, or billing.

We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms. Where the breach is not serious, we will try to contact you first.

Your files and content

You keep all rights to the files you upload and to the outputs we produce from them. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store and process those files in order to provide the service. Files are deleted automatically after the retention period described in our Privacy Policy.

Availability and warranties

We work to keep the service available and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that a given FFmpeg operation will succeed for every input. You are responsible for keeping your own copies of any file that matters to you: outputs are deleted on the schedule described in the Privacy Policy and should not be treated as durable storage.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost data. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Changes to the service or these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If a change materially affects your rights, we will give notice through the site or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Chile. If you use the service as a consumer elsewhere, you keep the mandatory protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
